Job summary

Nescot Enterprises Ltd in Ewell invites applications for a term-time catering support role. The job is 4 days a week (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri) with occasional evening coverage 8am-8pm, 36 weeks per year.

You’ll assist in practical classes, support restaurant service, manage stock and promote high standards of food hygiene. Level 2 Food Safety required; strong communication and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, resources and equipment for practical classes and demonstrations.
• Support teaching staff during practical lessons and restaurant service.
• Manage deliveries, stock control and store food and consumables.
• Maintain professional kitchen and restaurant facilities.
• Promote high standards of food hygiene, health & safety and housekeeping.
• Support learners in developing professional behaviours and industry expectations.
• Assist with events, open evenings and curriculum activities.

Job description

Work Pattern and Contract

Your work pattern will be 4 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) but you must be available for occasional flexibility to cover evening restaurant sessions and events between 8am-8pm. This is a term time only position working 36 weeks per year.

What We're Looking For

Experience working in a professional catering, hospitality or commercial kitchen environment.

• Understands food safety, hygiene and health & safety requirements.
• Can organise workloads effectively and work independently.
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
• Has good communication skills and enjoys working with people.
• Confident using basic IT systems and digital record-keeping tools.
• Level 2 Food Safety qualification.
