Job summary

Aramark Ltd. is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the Derby College Group Roundhouse site in Derby, DE24 8JE. This maternity cover role is 32.5 hours per week during term time, with 36 teaching weeks and holiday entitlement.

You will help with basic food prep, service to students, stock deliveries, and front- and back-of-house duties. No prior experience is required, though experience in food services or retail and a Level 2 food hygiene certificate are desirable; you will receive training

Qualifications

• Food hygiene Level 2 certificate desirable; training provided.
• 1-2 years experience in food services or retail desirable.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Able to obtain an Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Basic food preparation if required including sandwiches, grab and go items, basic hot food if required.
• Serving students, ensuring you are always providing excellent customer service.
• Stocking up and putting away deliveries.
• Serving food and clearing tables/bins/trays.
• General cleaning back and front-of-house, making sure the unit is clean and tidy before, during and after service.

Requirements

• Food hygiene certificate - Level 2 desirable. However, relevant training will be provided.
• No previous experience required, but 1-2 years' experience in a food services or retail environment desirable.
• Work well as part of a team.
