Job summary

Coventry College is looking for a Catering Assistant to support dining room service at 50 Swanswell Street, Coventry. The role offers full-time hours with options for part-time hours (9am-3pm) and the chance to work across different catering units, subject to needs.

You will prepare and serve food and beverages, maintain hygiene, and assist with equipment and cleaning. The college emphasizes staff development and a supportive, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining area for service, moving and setting up furniture and trolleys.
• Prepare the service area, hot cupboards and other equipment.
• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
• Wash dishes, cutlery, tumblers, jugs, serving utensils, containers and other catering equipment.
• Clean catering areas to required standards.
• Inform the Unit Manager of any equipment or premises defects.
