Job summary

Coventry College in Coventry is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering professional to work as an Engineering Assessor/Lecturer. You will combine workplace assessment with college-based delivery across levels 1–3, helping learners develop knowledge, skills and behaviours demanded by modern engineering.

The role requires a higher level qualification, practical engineering experience, teaching or assessing background, and willingness to progress with college-supported qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have: higher level engineering qualification or Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven practical mechanical engineering experience
• Experience teaching, training or assessing in engineering
• Assessor qualification or willingness to work towards one
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one

Responsibilities

• Work as workplace assessor for an assigned caseload of engineering apprentices
• College-based delivery of practical and theoretical training from levels 1 to 3
• Teach and assess across subjects including Health & Safety, Principles of Eng & Manufacturing
• Support learners to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours required by modern engineering
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance
