Job summary

Places for People is seeking a Catering Assistant to join Places Leisure facilities. You will help with food preparation, uphold health and safety standards, and ensure the presentation and cleanliness of catering areas while delivering high levels of service to visitors.

Experience in catering or retail, knowledge of allergen controls, and a friendly, approachable manner are ideal. You will be supported by a comprehensive benefits package and a diverse team environment.

You will ensure high standards are maintained at all times. You will assist in food preparation, complying with all Health & Safety and Food hygiene policies whilst prioritising the presentation and cleanliness of all catering areas. A large part of your role will be to represent the company by operating a high standard of customer service to all our visitors.

More about you

You will have experience of working within a catering or retail role, with an awareness of allergen and hygiene standards. You should have a good background knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations as well as current food standard policies. You will have a personable and friendly manner and ideally be used to dealing with a wide range of customers.
