Job summary

Places for People is seeking a welcoming Catering Assistant at our venues in the UK. You will help with food preparation, maintain presentation and cleanliness in catering areas, and represent the company by delivering high-standard customer service to every visitor.

You should have experience in catering or retail, with knowledge of allergen and hygiene standards, and be familiar with current Health & Safety regulations. A personable, friendly manner is essential to engage a diverse guest base.

You will ensure high standards are maintained at all times. You will assist in food preparation, complying with all Health & Safety and Food hygiene policies whilst prioritising the presentation and cleanliness of all catering areas. A large part of your role will be to represent the company by operating a high standard of customer service to all our visitors.

More about you

You will have experience of working within a catering or retail role, with an awareness of allergen and hygiene standards. You should have a good background knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations as well as current food standard policies. You will have a personable and friendly manner and ideally be used to dealing with a wide range of customers.
