Job summary

South West Norse is hiring a Catering Assistant/Driver in Axminster to support school catering services at Hawkchurch and Sidmouth primary schools. The role is 15 hours per week, 11:00am to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday, with duties including preparation, cooking, presentation and service of nutritious meals while adhering to hygiene and safety standards.

The successful candidate will benefit from full training, friendly team environment, and mileage paid at 55p per mile; a valid UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the catering service including preparation, cooking, presentation and service of nutritious food and beverages, in line with hygiene, safety and QA procedures.
• Comply with food hygiene, Health and Safety and QA procedures.
• Travel between Sidmouth Primary School and Hawkchurch Primary School to transport meals; mileage paid at 55p per mile.
• Serve meals, clear up and return them to Sidmouth Primary School.

Job Overview

Catering Assistant/Driver required at Hawkchurch Primary School Sidmouth, Devon - EX13 5XD £26,438.07 pro rata - Equates to £12.71 per hour 15 hours per week Monday to Friday, 11:00am - 2:00pm.

The Role

You will be supporting all aspects of the catering service including ensuring completion of the preparation, cooking, presentation and service of our nutritious food and beverage outlets to students and staff while complying with food hygiene, Health and Safety and QA procedures.

This customer facing role will provide you with great exposure to all aspects of the catering environment with lots of opportunities to learn and develop your skills within the industry. This role will require you to pick up the meals at Sidmouth Primary School, then transport these to Hawkchurch Primary School. You will then serve these, clear up and take these back to Sidmouth Primary School. Due to the travel requirements of this role, a Full UK Driving Licence is required, along with access to a personal vehicle - Mileage will be paid at 55p per mile.
