Job summary

Norse Catering is seeking a Mobile Catering Assistant to cover Norwich and surrounding areas. You will work 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm, in term time only, delivering nutritious meals to pupils and staff.

A driver’s license and own vehicle are required for travel between sites. The role offers funded training, progression opportunities, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, preferably within school meals.
• Extensive induction and training programmes provided.
• Strong emphasis on hygiene and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve lunches for students and staff.
• Set up service areas and clear away after service.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout service.

A day in the life:

You will become an integral part of the school team, supporting with the preparation and serving of lunches for young people and school staff, ensuring an engaging and interactive experience for all.Upholding our high level of hygiene and cleanliness is vital which includes setting up service areas from the kitchen or dining areas, so they are ready to enjoy mealtimes and tidying away once service is completed.
