Contract Type: Term-Time only, 35 working weeks + paid holiday!

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistant to support the day-to-day food and service delivery across the school. This role is essential in ensuring pupils, staff, and visitors receive high-quality, nutritious meals served with care, efficiency, and attention to detail. You will be joining Holroyd Howe, one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, providing fresh, innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges. Job Description

As our Catering Assistant you will…

  • Collate & deliver on all hospitality functions.
  • Liaise with school teams to meet hospitality demands.
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of lunch and snacks.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front and back of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
  • Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Qualifications
  • Ideally have experience working within Education catering
  • Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
