Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a Catering Assistant for a Church of England primary school in Kennford, Exeter. This long-term temporary, part-time role starts September 2026, supporting pupils aged 4-11 with meals and dining services.

Duties as Catering Assistant:

  • Assisting with food preparation and serving meals

  • Supporting the catering team during busy service periods

Ideal Catering Assistant:

  • Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous catering, kitchen, or food service experience desirable
  • Good understanding of food safety procedures
  • Reliable and punctual approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
