Rexel UK is seeking a commercially minded Category Manager to own the Tools & Consumables category, driving sales, margin, rebates, pricing and supplier performance. You will take full commercial ownership, creating a customer-led and profit-driven strategy in a hybrid role working from near Birmingham airport and remotely.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a commercial Category Manager role with end-to-end category management and strong P&L ownership.
• Strong grip on commercial levers: margin, rebates, pricing, promotions, range optimisation, supplier negotiation.
• Highly analytical and data-driven trading decisions at pace.
• Confident stakeholder management across Commercial, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Build short- and long-term category plans with trading actions and measurable results.
• Own gross margin and profitability, manage rebates and supplier funding.
• Shape pricing strategy with the Pricing Analyst to optimise margin and category profitability.
• Lead benchmarking and promotional plans to drive volume while protecting profit.
• Deliver sales and market share growth using data to refine range, price, promo, and supplier mix.
• Develop own-brand growth and direct sourcing opportunities by customer and quartile.
