Job summary

Sompo Holdings, Inc. in London is seeking a Natural Catastrophe Analytics Analyst to join our Risk team. You'll help build and enhance progressive analytics to inform risk managers and leaders, focusing on multi-line catastrophe risk and mitigation.

Ideal candidates bring exposure management experience, strong SQL/Excel, plus knowledge of RMS RiskLink and other models; certifications are a plus. This role offers collaboration, career development, and a dynamic global environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in exposure management and natural catastrophe risk analytics across multiple lines of business.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and MS Excel; experience with Python, Power BI, and/or Julia is desirable.
• Certified Specialist in Catastrophe Risk (CSCR) or equivalent preferred; CCRA (RMS) or CEEM (AIR) certifications are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform Group roll-ups in Resolver using data from Insurance, Reinsurance and Ceded Re.
• Generate in-force roll-ups, support SHD reporting, and aid ceded reinsurance decisions.
• Analyse roll-ups to provide insight into the modelled nat cat risk profile.
• Produce, maintain, and refine group reports.
• Operate and optimise natural catastrophe risk analytics tools and workflows with automation where possible.
• Interpret and manage integration of ceded contracts within exposure management tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and respond to ad-hoc requests.
• Provide input on analytical projects with insights and recommendations.
• Support development projects in Natural Catastrophe Risk Analytics.
• Assist the team and Lead with governance and research tasks.
