Job summary

The Emerald Group in London is seeking a Catastrophe Risk Analyst to join its leading Exposure Management team. You will apply RMS and other tools to deliver market-leading analysis on both individual accounts and portfolios.

You will contribute to developing new modelling tools and dashboards, collaborate across regions, and leverage strong Excel and SQL skills to manipulate large data sets. Prior RMS experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in catastrophe modelling; RMS experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and SQL data manipulation skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across regions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver market-leading catastrophe risk analysis for individual accounts and portfolios.

• Collaborate with the Natural Catastrophe Management team across regions to ensure consistent risk views.

An exciting opportunity for a Catastrophe Risk Analyst to join a leading Exposure Management team at one of Lloyd’s largest syndicates

• Location: London

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

• Use RMS and various other tools to deliver market leading analysis both on individual account and portfolio basis
• Contribute to developing new tools and dashboards to streamline the catastrophe modelling process and build more innovative ways of displaying data
• Work closely with the Natural Catastrophe Management team, across different regions, to ensure close communication across the team, consistent application of view of risk and contribute to cross-region analytics
• Experience in a Cat Modelling role – RMS experience is highly desirable and Specialty / Natural Resources class experience is advantageous
• Ability to manipulate large data sets with strong Excel and SQL skills
• Intermediate/Advanced Experience with MS SQL is a strong advantage. Ability to build/design and manipulate queries to improve process
