Job summary

Sompo is seeking a risk modelling professional to support catastrophe model validation, changes, and the delivery of model change impact analyses. You will partner with development and regional stakeholders to translate business needs into clear functional requirements and validate solutions through user testing and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Support catastrophe model validation, change, and implementation activities with documented methodologies and testing.
• Deliver model change impact analysis and translate findings for stakeholders.
• Communicate model changes and developments to underwriters with timelines and implications.
• Define and validate system and reporting enhancements through business requirements and user testing.
• Own and maintain data standards and governance routines; develop operational dashboards and reporting.
• Act as primary contact for Risk on catastrophe modelling and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functional changes and integration efforts across modelling, underwriting, risk, and development teams.
• Support merger integration across legacy modelling approaches and align methodologies and outputs.
• Oversee current priorities including model validation testing, rollout and enhancement requirements.
