Job summary

Emerald Group in London is seeking a Catastrophe Risk Analyst to drive analytics that support risk selection and underwriting decisions.

You will work with RMS and a range of tools (Power BI, MS SQL, VBA/.NET, Python/R) to deliver portfolio and account level insights, develop dashboards, and collaborate with the Natural Catastrophe Management team across regions to standardise risk views.

Qualifications

• Catastrophe modelling experience; RMS desirable.
• SQL and data querying experience is important.
• Power BI analytics experience desirable.
• Programming knowledge in VBA/.NET/R/Python advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with underwriters to align analytics with risk selection.
• Deliver analytics confidently and explain value to stakeholders.
• Use RMS and other tools to deliver portfolio and account level analysis.
• Collaborate with Natural Catastrophe Management across regions to standardise risk views.
