Job summary

SpaMedica is seeking an Optical Assistant to join our Watford cluster, covering multiple sites. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours across 4 days out of 6, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a salary of £29,400.

You will support our clinics with diagnostics, pre/post-operative care, and theatre support, using Medisoft. A focus on patient safety, confidentiality, and high-quality service is essential.

Qualifications

• Adhere to clinical governance.
• Assist in diagnostics examinations with optometrists.
• Run pre- and post-operative clinics for all patients.
• Act as theatre runner, escort in busy theatre environment.
• Follow correct procedure for reporting any accidents or incidents.
• Prepare all areas prior to any clinical activities, ensuring all equipment is checked and ready for use.
• Ensure the correct storage of all equipment.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
• Assist with stock control, ensuring realistic par levels are maintained and all items are readily available.
• Manages all the diagnostic and theatre equipment on a daily basis.
• To ensure patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with GPDR.

Responsibilities

• Be proficient in company database i.e medisoft
• Follow correct procedure for reporting any accidents or incidents.
• Prepare all areas prior to any clinical activities, ensuring all equipment is checked and ready for use.
• Ensure the correct storage of all equipment.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
