Driver Hire Huddersfield are seeking Category C - Class 2 HGV Drivers to join us working alongside clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham and Holmfirth. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting Clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands.

A high level of these roles can mature into permanent positions. Responsibilities include vehicle and load checks, safe delivery, and liaising with customers.

Qualifications

• Be in possession of a Cat C (Class 2) UK driving licence.
• Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK.
• Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
• Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo reach the destination safely.
• Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.

We work with a wide variety of prestigious clients, so positions may include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
• Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo get to their destination safely.
• Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
• Some nights out may be required, although if this is an issue day work can be offered.
• Be in possession of a Cat C (Class 2) UK driving licence.
• Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK.
• Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

These roles may also include non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; therefore candidates should be comfortable with doing some lifting and a good demonstration of safe loading.
