Driver Hire Huddersfield are currently looking for Category C+E - Class 1 HGV Drivers to join us working alongside prestigious clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Holmfirth and Meltham. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting Clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands.

Most Clients are looking for a minimum 1 years' worth of experience on this entitlement. Some roles will inevitably become temp-perm or full time.

Qualifications

• Trunking and loading experience may be required.
• Capable of safe driving and route checks.
• Flexibility to cover nights out when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
• Ensure the vehicle and its cargo reach destination safely.
• Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
• Occasional night shifts; day work available if needed.

Role

• Trunking work, curtainsiders, flatbeds and tail lift experience
• Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off
• Ensure that the vehicle and it's cargo get to their destination safely.
• Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
• Some nights out may be required, although if this is an issue day work can be offered.

Requirements

• Be in possession of a Cat C+E (Class 1) UK driving licence
• Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK
• Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

These roles may also include non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; therefore candidates should be comfortable with doing some lifting and a good demonstration of safe loading. Experience is highly regarded but not wholly essential.
