Davies Group is recruiting a Casualty Field Adjuster to join our Claims Management team in a permanent full-time, home-based role covering the North West. You will liaise with insurers and brokers, investigate claims, compile evidence, and prepare reports to support settlements.

Qualifications

• Experience in casualty claims or investigation is advantageous but not required.
• You will be trained and supported to start with Davies.
• Home-based role covering the North West England with regional travel.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with insurers, policyholders and brokers.
• Investigate claims in the field or from the desk.
• Compile evidence and prepare preliminary reports.
• Comment on policy indemnity, liability and quantum.
• Determine action for resolution and negotiate settlements where appropriate.
• Communicate with all parties to progress cases to conclusion.
• Adhere to client procedures and maintain reserves; keep up with technical changes.

Davies are looking to recruit an experienced Liability Loss Adjuster to join our growing Casualty team.

At Davies, we value transferable skills and qualities that focus on what you can bring to the role. While industry experience is a benefit, it is not essential as we will provide you with full training and support when you start with us.

What will your day look like:

• Liaison with Insurers, Policyholders and Brokers
• Investigation of allocated claims in the field or from the desk
• Compilation of all necessary evidence and relevant documentation
• Preparation of Preliminary Reports detailing the evidence available and commenting upon
• Policy Indemnity, Legal Liability, Quantum, and Tactics
• Determine appropriate action for resolution of the case
• Defend or negotiate settlement where appropriate, within agreed authority limits
• Correspond with all parties professionally to proactively progress the case to conclusion
• Investigate and handle all cases in accordance with the client’s requirements by referral to documented procedures at all times
• Maintain a proper reserve at all times by regular review
• Keep updated on any technical changes relevant to your role including participating in training programmes facilitated by the company
• All Staff are expected to carry out any reasonable instruction given by their line manager, in line with business requirements

Knowledge and Abilities:

• The role would suit either a Casualty Adjuster/investigator seeking a fresh challenge and who is ambitious and can demonstrate an ability to develop the skills and knowledge needed.
• This role is Home Based covering caseloads in the North West of England therefore travel in this area is necessary.
