Job summary

Grandir UK Limited in Haywards Heath is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our Elan Preschool team. You will be responsible for supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging their curiosity and development in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 2–5 in a nursery setting.
• Understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage requirements.

About Our Nursery

Our Preschool was rated Good by Ofsted and is a beautiful converted home with two bright, spacious rooms for children aged 2–5.

Children enjoy a large, secure garden with slides, climbing frames, a mud kitchen, and water play, with free-flow access between indoors and outdoors. Weekly yoga sessions and regular sports activities support physical development and wellbeing.

We are proud of our strong reputation for preparing children for school, with excellent feedback from local schools and a Nursery of the Year award in 2025.

Our experienced, long-standing team creates a positive, supportive environment for both children and staff.

What will you be doing

• Provide a positive practice role model to ensure that Grandir UK values are maintained
• Ensure thatequalityof access and opportunity is afforded to all staff, parents and children
• Contribute to maintaining anattractive and welcoming environment
• Prepare andsupervise activitiesunder the guidance of Level 3 qualified Practitioners
• Read, understand and implement allcompany policies, proceduresand operational practices
• Ensure that any changes to policies, procedures and operational practices areadheredto within the required timescale
• Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of theEarly Years Foundation stage
• Notify your line manager of anyconcerns or issuesregarding company policies, procedures and operational practices
• Maintain apositive attitudeat all times with children, parents, visitors and work colleagues
• Ensureconfidentiality, where appropriate, is maintained
• Attend regularstaff meetings, planning meetingsandundertake trainingas required
