Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Tavistock is seeking a Casual Catering Assistant to join a prestigious independent school catering team. The role involves service across breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus setting up dining areas and maintaining hygiene standards.

It is a term-time plus contract (49 weeks) with a 5-in-7 shift pattern and free on-site parking. Candidates should have catering experience, good English communication and be able to work both in a team and independently.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering environment is preferred.
• Ability to serve customers with good hygiene standards.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve clients during breakfast, lunch or dinner service.
• Help setting up the dining room for service.
• Prepare food for service following hygiene practices and standards.
• Ensure kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy to required standards.
• Restock stocks and assist with cleaning and storage during service.
• Interact with customers and staff to ensure a positive experience.
