Job summary

Thomas Franks is recruiting a Casual Catering Assistant at our independent school in Tavistock, Devon. This term-time plus contract role supports breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner service during a 7-day operation.

You will help set up dining rooms, serve guests, maintain hygiene, and ensure high standards. We offer on-site parking and opportunities for training and progression within a leading contract caterer.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering environment.
• Experience serving customers in a catering establishment.
• Food hygiene certificate preferred.
• Able to work in a team and on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Serve clients during breakfast, lunch or dinner service.
• Set up dining room for service.
• Prepare food following hygiene standards.
• Keep kitchen and service areas clean and tidy.
• Restock stocks during service periods.
• Operate cleaning and dishwashing equipment.
• Complete cleaning/hygiene duties.
• Interact with customers and staff.
