Job summary

Iconic Hotels & Resorts in London’s Mayfair invites applications for a casual Night Porter. The role focuses on guest welcome, luggage assistance, and service during the night shift, with flexible hours and a competitive hourly rate plus tronc and holiday pay.

Ideal candidates have prior night porter or hospitality experience, are comfortable working through the night, and possess strong attention to detail and teamwork. Start ASAP; notice periods may apply.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests in Mayfair style and assisting with luggage
• Assist early check-outs with luggage, transport and additional requirements
• Prepare light room service from night menu
• Be familiar with hotel geography and access all areas
• Be confident with fire training and drill practices
• Maintain lobby and public areas clean and well maintained
• Communicate with the early Duty Manager about night encounters
• Maintain a courteous, friendly attitude to all guests

About you as Casual Night Porter

• Ready to start ASAP
• Previous experience working in a Night Porter role is desirable
• Hotel/Hospitality experience is desirable but a keen interest in customer service is more important for this role
• Confidence and motivation for working throughout the night is essential
• You will have keen eye for detail, organisational skills and confident in communicating with the team

Key Responsibilities of the Casual Night Porter

• Welcoming guests in our Mayfair manner offering support with guest luggage
• Support early check outs by assisting with luggage, transport and additional requirements
• Prepare room service / cooking light meals from night menu
• Be confident in the geography of the hotel and accessing all areas
• Be confident with fire training and fire drill practices
• Ensure lobby and public areas are clean and well maintained at all times
• To communicate with the early Duty Manager on any ongoing encounters in the night
• Establish a courteous, helpful, and friendly attitude to all guests at all times
