Job summary

Millennium Hotels UK is seeking a Casual Kitchen Assistant for Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen to maintain kitchen sections and assist with preparing and cooking duties, ensuring smooth kitchen operation.

You will work within a diverse team, learn via our M Academy, and contribute to high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food presentation, including occasional breakfast tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the hotel industry is advantageous.
• Some culinary skills.
• Ability to work various shifts on a rota basis including weekends.
• Enthusiastic and motivated, with a good eye for detail and accuracy.
• The role also relies on developing a relationship with other departments in the hotel, hence it is crucial you are able to communicate effectively to ensure control measures are understood and adhered to.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties as per the cleaning schedule.
• Carry out any reasonable task set by a senior member of the team.
• Prepare, cook and present food as per kitchen manual.
• Some breakfast duties will be required as instructed by Head Chef.
• Ensure hygienic practices are used and maintain standards set by Head Chef.

The Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen is looking for a Casual Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team, who will maintain a section of the kitchen and assist with some preparing and cooking duties to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.

Commis Chef will have:

• Carrying out all cleaning duties as per the cleaning schedule
• Carry out any reasonable task set by a senior member of the team
• Prepare, cook and present food as per kitchen manual

• Maintaining standards laid down by the Head Chef
• Ensure the correct use of different cleaning chemicals and materials as per manuals
• Clean and tidy the staff restaurant
• Ensure the work areas are clean, safe and tidy at all times
• Adhere to all regulations in respect of Health & Safety, Hygiene, Guest Safety, Fire Regulations, Emergency Procedures etc.

What we are looking for:
