Doncaster Racecourse is seeking a Casual Fence Attendant to help maintain safety and smooth operation at ARC. The role involves heavy lifting, fence repairs, and inspecting sections between races.

You will work flexibly around race days and hospitality events, with shifts allocated on the day. We offer competitive pay, flexible hours and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 or over.
• Heavy lifting and manual labour involved.
• Casual shifts offered on race days and hospitality events.
• Register your interest; shifts are allocated based on the racing calendar and department needs.

The person we are looking for as Casual Fence Attendant has….

• Repair and replace birch in the racing fences between races.
• Check your allocated section of the course and report any issues.
• Work closely with the Racecourse team to help ensure racing runs safely and efficiently.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Assist with fence preparation before racing as required.

This role will involve heavy lifting and manual labour so a reasonable level of fitness will be needed. Applicant must be 18 or over.

There are usually a range of shifts available and opportunities for work are based on busy seasons and the annual racing calendar. Positions will be allocated on the day as part of the briefing.
