Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College is seeking a reliable Casual Farm Worker to join our commercial farm and educational facility in Gloucestershire. You will support day-to-day care of livestock, dairy operations, calf rearing and general farm maintenance while helping to provide a safe learning environment for students.

Pay is £12.71–£15.00 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications. This role offers hands-on experience on a leading UK campus with strong welfare and biosecurity

Qualifications

  • Livestock care, feeding and welfare duties as part of daily farm activity.
  • Experience or willingness to assist with milking, calving and calf rearing.
  • Ability to perform general farm tasks with attention to health and safety.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Casual Farm Worker to join our commercial farm and educational facility. Working as part of the farm team, you will support the day-to-day care of livestock, dairy operations, calf rearing, and general farm maintenance, while helping to provide a safe and positive learning environment for students.

  • Assisting with livestock care, feeding, bedding, health checks and animal welfare.
  • Supporting milking, calving, calf rearing and other dairy herd activities.
  • Carrying out general farm duties, including yard maintenance, fencing and equipment checks.
  • Recording farm information accurately and reporting any issues relating to animal welfare, health and safety, or farm operations.
