Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a Casual Event Chef to support the weekend service at our East Malling venue. You will prepare and cook dishes to our standards, oversee your station and work with the team to ensure smooth service.

The role offers bespoke training and development opportunities, apprenticeships and a strong commitment to wellbeing, with a focus on flexible hours and work-life balance.

Driving is preferred given the venue location.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef de partie or similar role.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation – cook dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Station Management – oversee your station and maintain cleanliness.
• Quality Control – ensure presentation and taste meet standards.
• Team Collaboration – communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Menu Development – assist head chef with new recipes.
• Cleaning and Maintenance – keep kitchen area tidy and equipment functional.
