Job summary

The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport is seeking a Casual Conference Porter to support our Conference & Banqueting team behind the scenes of events, from gala dinners to international conferences. You’ll set up and break down meeting and banqueting spaces to our high resort standards, assist guests with equipment and parcel movement, and help maintain a clean, safe, and present working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic IT skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
• Comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and breaking down meeting and banqueting spaces to high resort standards.
• Supporting guests and clients with equipment or parcel movement.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and well-presented working environment.
• Looking after Conference & Banqueting equipment and reporting issues promptly.
• Working closely with your team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Attending training, briefings and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Promoting resort facilities through excellent knowledge and communication.
