Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is hiring a casual facilities assistant to keep park facilities clean, safe and welcoming. This zero-hours post operates across shifts with early start times and flexible hours, requires COSHH knowledge and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

You will follow cleaning schedules, report issues promptly, and work independently or as part of a team within the Facilities Services group.

This casual, zero-hours post sits in the Facilities Services team within Corporate Services at Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. The work centres on keeping the site hygienic, safe to use and pleasant for those who use it. Shifts run seven days a week, with start and finish times varying between 06:00 and 18:00, all year round, and the role needs knowledge of COSHH and safe chemical use. An enhanced DBS check is required because the role involves working with children.
