Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a Casual relief bank support worker to assist adults with learning disabilities at Riverbank and Meadow Lodge. You will help with personal care, daily living tasks, and participate in meaningful activities within both service settings.

The role offers flexible hours on an as-needed basis, with paid annual leave uplift built into the hourly rate. A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred unless suitable transport is arranged.

Qualifications

• Caring and patient approach to supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Clear communication and ability to work well with others.
• Flexibility to work across day and respite services, including evenings and weekends.
• No specific qualifications required if you have relevant skills or experience.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle or suitable transport arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Support customers with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Plan and participate in meaningful activities.
• Provide emotional and practical support as needed.
• Assist with household tasks and basic financial responsibilities.
• Work flexibly across day and respite services, including evenings, weekends, sleep‑ins and waking nights.
• Support customers in homes or service settings.
