Job summary

NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking a Blood Donation Team Assistant (Bank) to support our donor centres on an as-and-when basis. No medical background is required; training will be provided to help you welcome donors and maintain a friendly environment.

Hours are variable, including daytime, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays. You will work at donor centres, with flexibility to choose your shifts, and you may be asked to cover short-term gaps as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of dealing with the public
• Good standard of numeracy and literacy

Responsibilities

• Cover the donor centre to support after-donation refreshments.
• You may be asked to work a variety of days, including evenings and Bank Holidays, with the flexibility to choose the days you work.
