Job summary

NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking a Band 7 Senior Nurse Manager to lead a dynamic team in a fast-moving donor collection environment, ensuring the safety of donors and the quality of blood products.

You will receive a comprehensive induction and ongoing development, with flexible working options and a structured interview process; closing date is 2 November 2026, with interviews planned in Sheffield.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (Adult).
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Evidence of continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Take clinical accountability and operational responsibility for safe blood collection.
• Lead by example to deliver an excellent donor experience.
• Maintain team competency and drive development.
• Motivate the team to support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and resource sessions.
• May work variable hours including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
