Job summary

JDR Recruitment is seeking a Visitor Services & Site Ranger for a Northern Ireland Civil Service assignment at Dunluce Castle. You will welcome visitors, issue tickets, handle cash, give guided tours and help with events and displays.

The role involves maintenance tasks and site presentation, with a 3-week rota, 37 hours per week, and weekends as needed. A valid NI Category B licence and customer-facing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Full Category B driving licence valid for Northern Ireland.
• At least 1 year's cumulative experience across 2+ of: maintaining sites/public heritage amenities, or delivering guided tours/public events.
• At least 1 year's cumulative experience in a customer-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors and provide information about the site.
• Issue admission tickets and receipts.
• Handle cash, retail sales and stock checks.
• Give guided tours and talks.
• Assist with events, exhibitions and interpretative displays.
• Escort and supervise groups.
• Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming and fencing.
• Support cleaning and minor building maintenance.
• Maintain site furniture, signage, vehicles, plant and machinery.
• Carry out litter collection and general site presentation duties.
• Assist with visitor surveys and other site activities.
