Job summary

Inveraray Castle is seeking a proactive Visitor Experience Manager to lead the day-to-day visitor operation, including guiding, shop, tearoom, gardens, marketing and digital activity, and to cultivate relationships with tour operators, coach companies and cruise operators.

You will work closely with the Duchess of Argyll and the wider Estate team to grow visitor numbers, develop programming, and maintain high standards across the Castle and its historic grounds, while building a collaborative,

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day visitor operations across guiding, retail, catering and visitor access.
• Motivate, organise and support a team of around 46 staff (seasonal and permanent).
• Collaborate with Head Guide, Shop/Tearoom Manager and colleagues on staffing, programming and service quality.
• Support marketing and digital activity to streamline the Castle’s offering for international visitors.
• Develop relationships with tour operators, coach companies and tourism partners.
• Support awards and accreditation (Visit Scotland, ASVA, Green Tourism) and manage data-driven improvements.
