Job summary

Victim Support in Wales is seeking dedicated Caseworkers for the Antisocial Behaviour team. Two fixed-term, part-time roles (30 and 22.5 hours) with hybrid working across home, outreach stations, and Llanrumney Police Station.

You will assess victims, develop safety and support plans, liaise with local services, and maintain confidential records using a bespoke case management system. Travel across South Wales is required; driving licence preferred.

  • Experience managing a caseload and completing risk & needs assessments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and IT skills.

Job description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Caseworkers to join our Antisocial Behaviour team.

We have two fixed term part time roles available, one for 30 hours a week, one for
22.5 hours a week.

This role is offered on a hybrid working model which allows for a mixture of working from home, outreach stations and our Victim Care Unit based at Llanrumney Police Station in Cardiff.

You will work as part of a team that covers the whole of South Wales and will provide on-going support to the victims of ASB, ensuring that South Wales Victim Focus realises their aim of helping people cope and recover from the effects of being subjected to, or witnessing crime.

South Wales Victim Focus serves diverse communities, many of whom experience a range of barriers that may impact on their ability to cope and recover from what they have experienced.

These can include financial distress; social isolation; reduced mobility; mental and physical health issues; substance use and lack of opportunity.

South Wales Victim Focus aims to identify what matters to service users and empower them to take control of their journey.

This role involves regular travel in and around the South Wales area.

About the Role As a Caseworker, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by antisocial behaviour.

You will make initial contact with victims via the telephone, then tailor the support to them explaining our services, and assessing the impact of antisocial behaviour.

Your responsibilities will include developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans, providing resources, interventions, and information to service users.

As a Caseworker you will: Make calls to offer support to victims of antisocial behaviour, delivering immediate support.

Develop, deliver and monitor safety and support plans for those affected by antisocial behaviour who accept ongoing support, which will include providing resources, interventions, and information to all service users.

Liaise and actively engage with other local providers to share information on the VS service offer and options for victims and survivors Use a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential records and contribute to monitoring information including the collection of outcomes Working as part of a team with staff to provide a seamless service to clients About You You will have an understanding of the impact of crime/antisocial behaviour on victims & experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting.

Experience in managing a caseload and of completing risk & needs assessments would be beneficial.

You will need: Strong written & verbal communication skills.

Strong IT skills, including the ability to navigate and utilise bespoke case management systems effectively and an ability to use Microsoft Office applications to a high standard Good organisational & time management skills, able to manage competing needs and priorities.

To work effectively both as part of a team & independently To develop & maintain partnerships with internal & external organisations.

The ability to maintain professional boundaries & confidentiality.

Personal resilience to manage exposure to highly emotional or sensitive demands of the role This role involves regular travel throughout South Wales and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.
