Job summary

Depaul’s Foyle Haven day centre in Derry/Londonderry seeks a Service Worker to support adults facing homelessness. The role focuses on person-centred support, safety, and effective case management within a harm-reduction framework.

You will assess needs, develop plans, and collaborate with external agencies to promote stable accommodation and community integration. A Level 3 social care qualification is required along with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• A formal Level 3 qualification in a social care field.
• At least 2 years paid experience working with vulnerable women, desirably experience with women leaving prison.
• 3 formal qualifications at Level 2 to include Maths and English (e.g. GCSEs).

Responsibilities

• Provide service user support in a professional, respectful manner.
• Assess safety and wellbeing needs and develop plans addressing risks.
• Develop support plans with service users, responsive to changing needs.
