Job Description:

Applications are invited for the position of Case Manager in Mental Health and Addiction. The role is open to RN, OT, EN, and/or DAPAANZ registered practitioners. It is a full-time permanent position based at Timaru Hospital in the South Island of New Zealand, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

About the Role

The Mental Health & Addictions Team focuses on reducing the negative effects of alcohol and drug use. The role involves working collaboratively with tangata whaiora and their whānau, utilizing person-centred approaches to assess, monitor, and provide treatment. Services are delivered through a multidisciplinary team, respecting individual needs and enabling informed choices through support, information, liaison, advocacy, and referral.

About You

• Registered with a current APC to practice in NZ with relevant scope of practice
• Relevant mental health experience
• Understanding of psychiatric disorders and medications
• Experience delivering evidence-based practice
• Commitment to strengths-based recovery approach to case management
• Full New Zealand driver’s license
