Clinical Case Manager - Oncology & Haematology Pre-Authorization
London: Corporate
Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Monday – Friday
Shifts: 8-4 or 9-5
Permanent contract
Salary: up to £50,000 per annum (DOE)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Clinical Case Manager with senior inpatient bedside nursing experience (Band 6 or above) within Oncology/Haematology to join the Case Management Team at HCA Healthcare UK. This role involves obtaining pre-authorization for complex cases, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and bone marrow transplants, ensuring compliance with standards and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities
  1. Obtain pre-authorization for complex oncology and haematology cases prior to admission.
  2. Collaborate with third-party payers to promote quality and cost-effective patient care.
  3. Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate patient services.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with NMC Pin.
  • Extensive post-qualification hospital experience, particularly in utilization review and discharge planning.
  • Knowledge and experience in Oncology/Haematology.
  • Senior staff nurse or Band 6 experience or above.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous exposure to private medical insurance (desirable).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
