Job summary

JINGDONG Logistics (JD Logistics), part of JD.com, is seeking a Transport Specialist – Carrier Management in Bedford, UK. The role oversees B2B and B2C outbound transportation, carrier performance, and handovers between warehouse and transport providers.

You will coordinate with parcel, pallet and freight carriers and lead a small team on daily operations. The successful candidate will communicate fluently in English and Mandarin Chinese and work on-site with flexibility for peak periods.

Qualifications

Proven experience in transportation, carrier management, dispatch or logistics operations.
Practical experience managing B2B and B2C outbound shipments.
Experience working with parcel carriers, pallet networks, freight or last-mile providers.
Experience leading a small operational team.
Understanding of warehouse dispatch, shipment handover and carrier collection.
Ability to manage multiple carriers, priorities and exceptions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and escalation skills.
Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese in writing and speaking.
Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
Proficient in transportation, warehouse or carrier-management systems, and Excel.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily B2B and B2C outbound transportation activities from the Bedford warehouse.
Plan and coordinate parcel, pallet, freight and last-mile collections by order volume and service needs.
Allocate shipments to carriers based on service type, capacity and cost.
Ensure on-time dispatch and accurate handovers between warehouse and carriers.
Monitor shipments and resolve collection delays, mis-scans and delivery exceptions.
Lead a small transport operations team and provide training and guidance.
