Job summary

JINGDONG Logistics, part of JD.com, is hiring a Transport Manager for our Manchester and Milton Keynes operations. You will manage a compliant transport operation across our network, lead on-site drivers, and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure safe, timely dispatch aligned with DVSA guidelines.

The role requires a National and International CPC, 5+ years in transport operations, and 2+ years of people management, with strong knowledge of UK regulations and fleet coordination.

Qualifications

• National and International CPC holder required.
• Minimum 5 years in transport operations/logistics dispatch.
• Minimum 2 years people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK transport operations and compliance.
• Experience with HGV/LGV fleets and DSPs preferred.
• Experience in e-commerce or high-volume transport preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with TMS/WMS is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in logistics or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage transport operation across the network in line with DVSA guidelines and health and safety directives.
• Lead on-site team of drivers and transport staff, including performance management.
• Coordinate with warehouse management and sortation teams for timely and safe dispatch.
• Support relationships with local DSPs and planning teams.
• Promote continuous improvement of on-site operations and driver training.
• Ensure routes comply with driver hours, Working Time Directive, and Operator Licence obligations.
• Maintain accurate transport records, including tachograph data and compliance documents.
