Job summary

Gower College Swansea is seeking a Tutor/Assessor for the Carpentry provision within the Built Environment Learning Area. This is a full-time, permanent role based at Jubilee Court Campus in Swansea, paying £31,106–£34,235 per year.

The successful applicant will assess and verify portfolios, work with industry to build relationships, and provide a high-quality teaching and learning experience for all learners.

Qualifications

• Up to date knowledge of the carpentry industry with a Level 3 or equivalent.
• Recognised apprenticeship in carpentry.
• Teaching qualification and TAQA/V1 award or working towards.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and internally verify portfolios to meet external verifiers' and awarding bodies' requirements.
• Work with industry customers to maintain and build relationships.
• Provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences for all learners.
