Job summary

Gower College Swansea invites applications for a Tutor/Assessor in Carpentry at Jubilee Court Campus. You will assess portfolios, internally verify them to meet external verifiers, and build industry relationships while providing a high quality teaching and learner experience.

Applicants should have up-to-date industry knowledge with a Level 3 or equivalent in Carpentry, an apprenticeship, and ideally a teaching qualification with TAQA/V1; you will need excellent organisation and communication

Qualifications

• Up-to-date knowledge of carpentry industry with Level 3 or equivalent.
• Recognised carpentry apprenticeship.
• Ideal to hold teaching qualification and TAQA/V1 award.

Responsibilities

• Assess and internally verify portfolios to meet external verifiers and awarding bodies.
• Work with industry customers to maintain and build relationships.
• Provide a high quality teaching and learning experience for all learners.
