Job summary

Reed in East Sussex is seeking a Carpentry Lecturer to deliver apprenticeship training in Site Carpentry on a part-time basis. You will provide high-quality education to apprentices, preparing lesson plans and ensuring tools and materials are available for each class.

The role requires a Level 3 Carpentry qualification, proven carpentry experience, and excellent teaching and communication skills. You will assess progress and maintain safety during all sessions.

Qualifications

• Must hold at least a Level 3 Carpentry qualification (L3 or NVQ).
• Proven carpentry experience with strong theory and practical knowledge.
• Excellent teaching and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire apprentices.
• Commitment to health and safety in all sessions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Site Carpentry content to apprentices.
• Prepare lesson plans and ensure materials/tools are available.
• Engage apprentices through practical and theoretical instruction.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain attendance, progress and assessments records.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in practical sessions.
