Job summary
Reaseheath College and University Centre is seeking a Technical Trainer and Coach to deliver Carpentry and Joinery apprenticeship training, combining practical teaching with assessment in college and on-site visits.
You will hold a vocational qualification in Carpentry and Joinery or Construction, plus substantial industry experience and a teaching/assessor qualification. The role requires strong organisational and communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding and learner success.
Qualifications
- Hold a vocational qualification in Carpentry and Joinery or Construction.
- Have substantial industry experience in Carpentry/Joinery.
- Hold, or be working towards, a recognised teaching and/or assessor qualification.
- Demonstrate coaching, mentoring, training or assessing experience in a vocational setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Carpentry and Joinery training in line with standards and procedures.
- Lead apprentices through practical activities to develop competence.
- Coach, mentor, and assess learners in college and on-site visits.
- Coordinate recruitment, inductions, initial assessments, and progress reviews.
