Job summary

Bath College is seeking an experienced lecturer to deliver wood occupation apprenticeships, including classroom and workshop theory and practical teaching, with on-site employer-based assessment for joinery and site carpentry. You will manage a caseload of apprentices and ensure achievement rates meet college targets.

The role supports Bath College’s commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding, with a permanent contract and 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths (Grade C or above).
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in carpentry/joinery.
• Commitment to completing TAQA Assessor Award within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide induction, assessment, training, coaching and teaching to apprentices.
• Teach, assess and support apprentices at college and in the workplace.
• Deal with queries while supervising apprentices.
