Abingdon and Witney College is seeking an experienced Carpenter/Joiner educator to deliver practical and theory-based training at the Bicester Campus. You will assess apprentices, support their progression, and contribute to high-quality learning aligned with industry standards.

The role requires delivering workshops, maintaining strong employer links, and promoting professional behaviours and skills among learners.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent).
• Significant industry experience within Carpentry and Joinery.
• Strong practical skills and up-to-date knowledge of techniques, materials and regulations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience assessing apprentices in the workplace or willing to work towards an assessor qualification.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to employer premises.
• Enthusiasm for developing others and sharing professional expertise.
• Passion for inspiring and training the next generation of skilled carpenters and joiners.

Responsabilités

• Deliver practical and theory-based training to Carpentry & Joinery apprentices in workshop and classroom.
• Carry out workplace assessments and reviews to support learners.
• Deliver on-site training and assessment of Carpentry & Joinery provision.
• Support learners to develop workplace behaviours such as punctuality, teamwork and professionalism.
• Monitor learner progress, provide feedback and ensure timely qualifications.
• Build and maintain relationships with employers to support apprentices.
• Contribute to a positive professional learning environment reflecting industry standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high-quality provision and learner outcomes.
