Job summary

Cardo Group seeks a skilled Carpenter to maintain and refurbish void properties within the social housing portfolio. You will perform carpentry tasks, install fittings, and support wider refurbishment projects to ensure readiness for new tenants.

Responsibilities include fitting doors and windows, repairing floors and skirting, and coordinating with other trades while adhering to health and safety standards. A valid UK driving license and Flexibility for on-call work are needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent qualification.
• Proven carpentry experience in residential or social housing environments.
• Experience working in void properties.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility for on-call rota up to 8pm for evening appointments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry tasks in void properties including doors, windows, frames, skirting boards, flooring and fittings.
• Install and maintain kitchen units, cabinetry and other wooden structures.
• Repair or replace damaged wooden structures and fixtures.
• Coordinate with other trades to complete refurbishment or maintenance plans.
• Carry out minor plastering, tiling or painting as needed to ensure a high finish.
• Ensure works comply with health and safety regulations and building codes.

Proven carpentry experience
