Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpenter/ Multi Trader to join our Capital and Planned Works team in Plymouth.

You’ll perform varied carpentry and refurbishment tasks in customers’ homes across Devon, with FRA experience welcome but not essential. We offer a competitive £35,530 salary for a 39-hour week, no weekends, plus a company van or travel allowance, ongoing training, 31 paid holidays, life insurance, and access to free legal and financial advice via Lighthouse Charity.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
• Proven domestic carpentry or joinery experience with strong first- and second-fix skills.
• Kitchen-fitting, FRA and/or roofing experience would be advantageous but not essential.
• Customer-focused approach with commitment to health and safety.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Complete first- and second-fix carpentry in domestic properties and public settings.
• Carry out studwork, door sets, kitchen fitting, roofing and structural carpentry as needed.
• Support fire door installation and fire-stopping work where required.
• Provide clear progress updates and treat homes with care and respect.
