Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our direct trades Capital/Planned Refurbishment team, working on residential properties in Kent and London, including North London.

You will install fire door sets, architraves and partitions, delivering professional service in customers’ homes, with a focus on safe, quality workmanship. A full UK driving licence and own vehicle are essential for commuting.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Carpentry qualification.
• Strong customer service skills and professional conduct in homes.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a trade team while meeting targets.

The Carpenter Role

• Undertaking general carpentry work, including installing fire door sets, architraves and stud partitions
• The ability to work professionally and demonstrate excellent customer service skills within people’s homes, including vulnerable settings
• Working individually and sometimes as part of a trade team whilst always working to complete targets.

What will you bring as a Carpenter?

• Qualified with NVQ level 2 in Carpentry
• IFC or FIRAS 3rd Party Accredited preferred, if not, training will be provided
• Demonstrable previous experience of installing fire door sets
• Possession of a full current UK Driving licence is essential to undertake the Carpenter role, with the use of your own vehicle for commuting.
