Job summary

Insignis, a client in housing and property maintenance, is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join the Responsive Repairs Team in Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole area. You will carry out 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, install windows/doors and service UPVC, with a company van and fuel card provided.

You must have NVQ2 in carpentry or 5 years proven carpentry, hold a full driving licence, and be willing to travel across property sites. The role offers a competitive benefits package and pension.

• NVQ level 2 or proven 5 years carpentry experience.
• Full UK driving licence with 2+ years of driving.
• Residential housing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 1st and 2nd fix carpentry across properties.
• Install windows, doors and frames (internal and external).
• Service and install UPVC components.
• Locksmithing and gaining entry as required.
• Repair fire doors, frames and other fire-rated components.
• Perform fire-stopping carpentry in accordance with regulations.

Job description

A client of mine who is a Large Housing Association and Property Maintenance Company are looking to Recruit an experienced Carpenter-Multi on a full time permanent basis to join their Team in Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole Area. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road they will provide you with a van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.

What you'll do:

As a Carpenter you will carry out all forms of carpentry repairs in our properties as part of our Responsive Repairs Team and elsewhere depending on demands.

• 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry
• Install windows, doors, door frames - Internal and external.
• UPVC servicing and installation
• Locksmithing and gaining entry via lock snapping, drilling and picking.
• Repair fire doors, frames, and other fire-rated components
• Undertake fire stopping carpentry works in accordance with regulations

What you'll need:

You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 OR have a minimum of 5 years proven track record working in carpentry.

Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 2 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van.
